Burnley dog to star at Crufts
Wendy Johnson (36), who lives in the Padiham Road area, and her dog Gracie Mae, an Italian spinone, will perform a routine in front of thousands at the world-famous event, starting on March 7th at the NEC in Birmingham.
Gracie Mae will be one of eight animals performing in the good citizen silver award display after she beat off competition from 40 other dogs.

Wendy and Gracie Mae have completed six days of rehearsals in preparation for the show but Wendy said she is still slightly nervous.
But Wendy said her dog is used to the crowds and the noise. Gracie is a blue cross educational dog which means Wendy takes her into schools to show children how pets should be looked after.
“I’m quite nervous about performing in the main arena because the television cameras will be there.
“Gracie will be fine, she’s used to competing in obedience.”
