Man arrested in Padiham ‘rape’ case
A 24-year-old man suspected of raping a woman in Padiham at the weekend is believed to have handed himself in to police today.
It is understood that detectives are questioning him after he turned up at a local police station around 10am.
The alleged rape is said to have taken place around 2am on Monday near the bridge over Green Brook, behind Inglewaite Fold.
