Off-duty Burnley nurse hailed hero after helping boy (8) with head injuries
Police have praised the quick-thinking actions of an off-duty nurse who came to the aid of an eight-year-old boy who suffered an injury to his head.
The incident happened yesterday evening (Friday).
A spokesman for Burnley and Padiham Police said: "PCSO Barnes and Jackson came across an eight-year-old boy whose head had collided with a wall this evening .
"The young boy was safely escorted to urgent care at Burnley and is being treated with his wound. We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Jade, the off-duty nurse who stopped and assisted with his head injuries. Jade this is the second time you have come to our assistance, much appreciated."
