The North West Tractor Pullers Club (NWTPC) hosts its annual Tractor Pulling event at a purpose built track at Great Eccleston Showground, off Garstang Road.
The event and entertainment is open from 7.30pm on Friday; 2pm on Saturday and 11.30am on Sunday.

Hide AdPAID: Heritage Tram Tours, Blackpool, Saturday August 27 to Monday August 29
Blackpool Heritage Tram Tours will allow families to explore the seaside resort’s favourite attractions on one of its historic trams during three days of intensive tours.
There will be at least six heritage trams each day, from 10am until 6pm.
Tickets are from £5 for a round tour, to £10 for a heritage day ticket. Family heritage day ticket is £20.

Over the August bank holiday the Flag Market will be transformed into a giant maze with many paths but only one exit.
Explore the maze installation, a sea of coloured walls full of crossroads, challenging the most intrepid participants with visual enigmas and skill doors. The free participation installation is open from 3pm - 9pm on Friday; and noon until 6pm the other days.
FREE: Taste of Leyland, Saturday August 27
A Taste of Leyland food and drink festival will bring the streets of Hough Lane, Leyland Market and Balfour Court alive, with a range of food stalls offering a variety of traditional and international cuisine. Visitors can buy food to eat there and then or take home, taste the locally brewed beers and ciders. Open from 10am until 4pm, with live music, children’s entertainment, food demonstrations and face painting.

The Morecambe Live Weekender is staged over three days and two nights, at Marine Road West, with 90s, 00s and 10s tribute artists.

FREE: Canal Festivals, Chorley and Burnley, August 27 to 29
Botany Bay, in Chorley, hosts its first annual Canal Fest on Sunday August 28 and Bank Holiday Monday to mark the bicentenary and 200 years of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The fun includes boat rides, a narrow boat flotilla, classic car display, swing boat rides, Punch and Judy, Lancashire hawks and owls, bumper boats, plus live music.

FREE: World Gravy Wrestling Championships, Rossendale, Monday August 29
The Gravy Wrestling Championships is one of the world’s craziest and quirkiest competitions. Families can cheer contestants on as they battle it out in a pool full of Lancashire gravy. Contestants must wrestle in the gravy for two minutes whilst being scored for audience applause,and various different moves. The free event will be held at Rose n Bowl, Stacksteads from noon.

Danny, the Champion of the World by Roald Dahl comes to Lytham Hall, brought by Illyria.

The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival celebrates its 27th year of bringing some of the best Rhythm and Blues music to Colne Town Hall, Albert Road.
