Shayne ready to stand in the spotlight!
UFC Featherweight champion McGregor caused a stir when refusing to fulfill media obligations ahead of UFC 200 in Las Vegas on July 9th while WBO, WBA Super, IBO and The Ring Heavyweight champion Fury declared his dislike for the press ahead of his rematch with Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena on the same date.
However, after patiently fighting through the smaller, more intimate circuits such as Colne Muni, one-time English champion Singleton is ready for his moment in the limelight.

In front of 20,000 people Singleton will hope to take back the WBC International Silver strap that was previously swiped by Sam Eggington.
“I’m 100% ready for all this,” said Singleton. “The press conferences, the televised weigh-ins, the publicity is what it’s all about. It’s what you need and want as a boxer.
“I’ve enjoyed doing the smaller shows a lot but I’m going to enjoy all this too. This is what I’ve been building towards. It’s why I’ve been working so hard.”

Hide AdSingleton, who faced the media at Matchroom’s press conference at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel yesterday, added: “I’m fighting at the MEN, on a big bill, in front of 20,000 people, live on Sky. It’s massive.
“It gives me the opportunity to project myself and show people what I’m capable of. Everything about it is so special.
“I loved it last time against Sam Eggington, apart from the outcome of the fight. I’m loving the exposure but at the end of the day all that matters is leaving that ring as a winner.
“I’ve got to do everything it takes to win that fight and then that will hopefully bring even more exposure. I’ve won a lot of titles but this is all about securing a good career and building a future for my family.”

Hide AdSingleton has been working tirelessly with coach Karl Ince to ensure that he’s perfectly polished for his contest with the Yorkshireman, who is a Prizefighter champion.
Since victory over Wayne Reed at Wigan’s Robin Park in February, Singleton has endured many gruelling hours in the gym and on the track.
“I’m feeling good,” he said. “I just need to get in there now and get it done. It’s been a long camp because I’ve done two back-to-back. I haven’t stopped.
“It’s going to be a good night and I can’t wait for it. I’ve been doing a lot of pad work recently and working on certain combinations and shots that will help on the night.

“We’ve been perfecting things in a bid to beat him because he’s a very good fighter and a tricky opponent. We definitely won’t be underestimating him.”
“It’s another challenge for me but I believe I can overcome it. It’s going to be a good, controlled performance from me. I’m going to stay disciplined because this is a huge chance for me and I’m going to take it.”
Shayne would like to thank his fans, Wellocks, Bounceback Safety Surfaces, Mancini Menswear, AJ Wood Ltd and Nightfox Investigations for their continued sponsorship and support.
