After scoring his fifth goal of the campaign, Barnes said: “It’s another one to the tally, I’ve still got a long way to go to get to a target but it’s another one on the board. Unfortunately coming away with a loss is a kick in the teeth.
“I couldn’t have dreamt of scoring in front of the Kop as a youngster. Apparently it’s the first goal we’ve scored here since 1975, I don’t think he had any hair either and I’m losing mine!

“It was a magical moment, but I’m disappointed with the result.”
Barnes gave the visitors the lead in the sixth minute but Liverpool equalised in first half stoppage time courtesy of Georginio Wijnaldum’s finish.
Emre Can’s strike just after the hour then sealed the points for the hosts.
“We did so well again. The first half was really good from us but to concede on half-time is a kick in the teeth,” Barnes ended.
